Organofunctional Silanes These performance improving additives for Coatings, Adhesives and Sealants are bi-functional in that they have both organic and inorganic functional reactivity, centred around a silicon atom. They become reactive when exposed to atmospheric moisture or with the addition of water.
What they do!
| Cross Linking for greater | Adhesion Promotion for | | Thermal stability | Wet adhesion | | Hardness | Substrate Adhesion | | Chemical resistance | In hot and humid conditions | | Abrasion resistance | Nylon, SMC, Acrylics, PVC | | Wet adhesion | | Higher filler loading | | End-capping for polyurethanes | | Couple | Disperse | | Inorganic pigments to organic resins | Inorganic fillers and pigments | | Moisture and chemical resistance | Higher filler loading | | Higher tensile strength | Reduced viscosity |
Silane Functionality Amino: Sulphur: Epoxy: Methacryloxy: Vinyl: Ureido Applications: Coatings Glass, Paints, DVD, CD’s, Optical, Masonry, Wood, Brick, Concrete Solvented, Solvent free, Water based
