In its second year, the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo, Europe’s largest trade fair for electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicle technology, was once again a great success, both for the show itself and for ACC Silicones.
ACC Silicones focussed on their SILCOTHERM® range of thermally conductive silicone materials which have been specially formulated to dissipate unwanted heat away from components in electronic devices, increasing their performance and lifespan. The latest product in the range is SILCOTHERM® SE3001 - an encapsulant for potting sensitive electronic components with an increase thermal conductivity of 2.54 Wm/K. It not only transfers heat away from the components but also protects them from environmental contamination and vibration.
These products are particularly important in the automotive industry, where there is an ever increasing demand for the size and weight of electronic components to be reduced whilst power output is increased.
Frank Geerdsen, Sales Director at ACC Silicones, stated “We were delighted to take part in the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo for the first time and look forward to going back next year. We were very pleased with the contacts we were able to make and particularly with the amount of interest shown in our new product, SILCOTHERM® SE3001, which we launched at the show. The automotive market has always been very important to us and that has increased with the advances in electric vehicles. We are dedicated to developing new, innovative products to support this industry.”
